Stimulus jobs overstated by thousands - A company working with the Federal Communications Commission reported that stimulus money paid for 4,231 jobs, when about 1,000 were produced. - A Georgia community college reported creating 280 jobs with recovery money, but none was created from stimulus spending. - A Florida child care center said its stimulus money saved 129 jobs but used the money on raises for existing employees. Stimulus dollars going to accused contractors So far, 33 federal departments and agencies have awarded more than $1.2 billion in stimulus contracts to at least 30 companies that are ranked by one watchdog group as among the most egregious offenders of state and federal laws. Congress Uses Sham Poll to Force Total Control ObamaCare Virtually ALL of the other polling companies (including Rasmussen and even the left-leaning Gallup poll) show an ever-increasing number of the American people are against ObamaCare. The severe if not deliberately manufactured problem with the Wa/Po poll is that it was heavily weighted with Democrats. In fact, the numbers of those polled were 33% Democrat while only 20% Republican; a full 13% point spread geared to artificially bolster ObamaCare. Leftist Democrats (aka Marxists or Maoists) and the Democrat-supporting media seem to love faking polls for their desired results and then quoting said bogus results in order to manipulate the final results. Considering his conclusion, the prosecution opted not to use his testimony. Mr. MacDonell was then summarily dismissed, but dutifully reported his findings as recorded here. Signing away sovereignty Americans concerned about the decline of American power under the presidency of Barack Obama should turn their radar on and keep it on. We should be aware that Obama intends to roll out for Senate approval a series of international treaties that will further bind America to the will of the international community if they are ratified. The whiff of fascism becomes a stench I've emphasized one aspect of fascism -- its objective of the forcible suppression of opposition. But it also qualifies under the other elements, including the suppression of private enterprise and putting it under centralized government control. That is one hallmark of the Obama Administration, it expands government, contracts the private sector and places new and unprecedented power in the hands of a centralized, expanding government bureaucracy. First U.S. Official Resigns Over Afghan War WASHINGTON -- A former Marine who fought in Iraq, joined the State Department after leaving the military and was a diplomat in a Taliban stronghold in Afghanistan has become the first U.S. official to resign in protest of the Afghan war, the Washington Post reported early Tuesday. Matthew Hoh, who describes himself as "not some peacenik, pot-smoking hippie who wants everyone to be in love," said he believes the war is simply fueling the insurgency. Virginia Turns Back to Red Creigh Deeds, the Democratic candidate for governor of Virginia, has a Barack Obama problem. Obama won Virginia in last year's presidential race--the first Democrat to do so in 44 years--but his popularity in the state has plunged since then. Deeds is conflicted. Asked if he's an "Obama Democrat," Deeds said he's a "Creigh Deeds Democrat," whatever that is. And he's skipped two of three Obama appearances in Virginia during the campaign season.
